The study was carried out in the field in a randomized block design with four replicates. The following treatments were evaluated: clethodim (84 g ha(-1)), clethodim + quizalofop-p-ethyl (48 + 40 g ha(-1)), [clethodim + fenoxaprop-p-ethyl] (50 + 50 g ha(-1)), sethoxydim (230 g ha(-1)), tepraloxydim (100 g ha(-1)), fluazifop-p-butyl (125 g ha(-1)), haloxyfop-methyl (60 g ha(-1)) and control (no herbicide). In the presence of the infesting weeds, soybean grain yield was significantly reduced. The highest efficiency of B. decumbens control was observed with the application of haloxyfop-methyl. Tepraloxydim was quite selective to B. decumbens. No treatment promoted a final control of D. ciliaris higher than 90%; nevertheless, the lowest efficiencies were verified with the application of sethoxydim and fluazifop-p-butyl. The only treatments that did not present a satisfactory control of E. indica were sethoxydim and [clethodim + fenoxaprop-p-ethyl]. The species most easily controlled by the herbicides evaluated was B. plantaginea. However, haloxyfop-methyl, tepraloxydim, clethodim and [clethodim + fenoxaprop-p-ethyl] presented the highest efficiency rates for controlling this weed. The addition of quizalofop-p-ethyl to clethodim significantly increased C. echinatus control The herbicides haloxyfop-methyl and tepraloxydim also presented a satisfactory control of this grass weed.</style>
<work-type><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">Article</style></work-type><accession-num><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">ISI:000277153000018</style></accession-num><notes><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">ISI Document Delivery No.: 589MRTimes Cited: 0Cited Reference Count: 24Cited References: ASKEW SD, 2000, WEED TECHNOL, V14, P176 BARROS AC, 1992, PLANTA DANINHA, V10, P45 BURKE IC, 2006, WEED TECHNOL, V20, P950 CHERNICKY JP, 1984, WEED SCI, V32, P174 CHRISTOFFOLETI PJ, 2001, PLANTA DANINHA, V19, P61 CRUZ LSP, 1991, BRAGANTIA, V50, P103 DEER JF, 1985, WEED SCI, V33, P693 DEFELICE MS, 1989, WEED SCI, V37, P365 FLECK NG, 1995, CIENCIA RURAL SANTA, V25, P27 FLECK NG, 1997, PLANTA DANINHA, V15, P18 GAZZIERO DLP, 2000, PLANTA DANINHA, V18, P169 GELMINE GA, 2001, R ECOSSISTEMA, V26, P135 HAGOOD ES, 1980, WEED SCI, V28, P729 HARWOOD JL, 1999, PESTICIDE OUTLOOK, V10, P154 HOCHBERG O, 2009, WEED RES, V49, P37, DOI 10.1111/j.1365-3180.2008.00677.x LINGENFELTER DD, 2007, WEED TECHNOL, V21, P732, DOI 10.6141/WT-06-055.1 LOPEZOVEJERO RF, 2006, PLANTA DANINHA, V24, P789 MARSHALL G, 1994, WEED RES, V34, P177 MEDRANO C, 1997, R FACULTAD AGRON U Z, V14, P33 NALEWAJA JD, 1994, WEED TECHNOL, V8, P591 SILVA AA, 1999, CONTROLE PLANTAS DAN SILVA AF, 2009, PLANTA DANINHA, V27, P75 VIDAL RA, 2002, ACAO HERBICIDAS ABSO VIDAL RA, 2006, PLANTA DANINHA, V24, P163Barroso, A.
