Buffelgrass is an equal opportunity invader that respects no boundaries. It is found on public reserves, state and local lands, and private property. It has already formed dense stands in natural open spaces such as Saguaro National Park, Coronado National Forest, and the Bureau of Land Management's Ironwood Forest National Monument; in neighborhoods of Tucson, Sahuarita, Marana and Oro Valley; and is prevalent along roadsides throughout the region.

We will soon have a website available for reporting buffelgrass locations and treatments.

The Center's mission is to provide a regional information center that emphasizes an integrated management approach to control buffelgrass (Pennisetum ciliare) in Southern Arizona.
