Abstract

Calli were initiated from immature inflorescences cultures of C. setigerus and C. ciliaris on Murashige and Skoog (MS) medium supplemented with 14 and 6 mgl-1 concentrations of 2,4-D respectively. Plants were regenerated via somatic embryogenesis when calli were transferred on to hormone-free MS basal medium. Young plants were successfully transplanted to field.
