Buffelgrass Removal Hands-On Training

June 16, 2012 / 7:30 am - 10:00 am

Tucson Clean and Beautiful, in collaboration with Saguaro National Park and the Southern Arizona Buffelgrass Coordination Center has a removal project planned for Saturday, 6/16/12. We will be meeting  at 451. N. Bonita Ave.  This is city owned property, behind Treasure Chest publishing on Bonita/Commerce Park Loop. Our plan is to remove as much buffelgrass as possible from 7:30-10:00am.  It should be a beautiful morning and what better way is there to start your weekend than getting some exercise while helping your community?!

You are welcome to bring any equipment you have (like a shovel, digging bar, or a pick) and we will have plenty on hand for you to use.  We will also provide work gloves, water and some light refreshments.  Make sure to wear appropriate shoes/boots, long pants and long sleeves, a hat, and sunscreen, and bring plenty of water.
