Buffelgrass Summit

More than 120 representatives from state and federal agencies, county and municipal governments, academia and private conservation organizations joined with concerned citizens at the Buffelgrass Summit on Feb. 9, 2007 to develop an action plan to control buffelgrass.

The Summit resulted in the creation of the Buffelgrass Core Team, which had the goals of implementing recommendations made at the Summit and improving communication among partner's buffelgrass management efforts within the region. Attendance at the Summit was designed to be inclusive to maximize opportunities for dialogue and collaboration.
