Ragged Top mountain west of Tucson on an August morning after a thunderstorm. On deeper soils such as here Arizona Upland vegetation grows too dense to easily walk through it. This biological community should probably be considered thornscrub rather than desert. The other images labeled AZURTop## are of the same location.
